WHAT'S INCLUDED
REAR SIGHT PLACEMENT
Standard placement positions optic forward of rear sight dovetail for unobstructed iron sight backup. Maintains full sight picture.
LOWER 1/3 CO-WITNESS
Iron sights visible in lower 1/3 of optic window when optic is mounted. Allows backup sight usage if optic fails or battery dies.
FRICTION-FIT PROCESS
We mill undersized, test-fit, and widen the pocket in 0.001" increments until the fit is rock-solid. Guarantees zero fitment issues when your optic arrives
MILLING DEPTH
Cut depth calculated per optic model to achieve flush or near-flush mount. Maintains slide structural integrity while maximizing sight height reduction.
CHAMFERED EDGES
Post-machining edges are chamfered and deburred to prevent sharp corners and provide clean aesthetic finish.

We mod your slide with your chosen optic cut, then mount your optic and iron sights.
Pre-Work Inspection
Photo documentation of your slide and optic to establish a baseline condition before machining.
Precision Milling
CNC mill your footprint. Test-fit with your optic and adjust by 0.001" increments until friction-fit achieved.
Refinishing
Ultrasonic clean and protect the bare metal with cold bluing and penetrating oil. Get PVD or Black Nitride for max protection.
Assembly
We install your optic and reinstall your sights (if provided) — free of charge.
Final Inspection
Photo documentation of completed work emailed to you, and return shipping via USPS Priority with tracking.

Can I cut a slide that already has work done?
Yes, if the existing modifications don't interfere with the optic footprint area.
Can you mill factory optics-ready slides?
Yes, we can cut Glock MOS slides for Holosun 507K/407K/EPS/Carry.
If I get a new optic later, will it still fit?
Not guaranteed. Our friction-fit tolerances are calibrated to your specific optic.
What if I don't ship my optic with my slide?
Without optic: 0.002" oversize for tolerance stack-up. With optic: iterative 0.001" adjustments until perfect friction-fit.
Does coating thickness affect optic fit?
Only Cerakote—it's too thick. We protect the bare metal with cold blue and oil unless you add Black Nitride or PVD.
Will optic cuts void my slide's warranty?
Yes. Our satisfaction guarantee covers all ModMount workmanship.
Can I buy an optic, cover plate, and irons?
We specialize exclusively in machining and finishing services, not parts or inventory.
What does installation cost?
Optic and sight installation included, except for Sig, Springfield, and 1911's which require specialized fitting.
Are screws included?
Yes, black-nitrided mounting screws included, except DeltaPoint Pro and RMRcc require factory screws.
